Get started with CHED in three easy steps.
"CHED" is a term used in Canadian baseball and softball to describe someone throwing fast and performing well. Our platform embraces those qualities - we provide fast, effective service.
My name is Zach Besler, and I am the founder of CHED. I have worked extensively in athlete evaluation and performance improvement for over a decade. My MSc project at UBC (2023) was on pitch recognition — “reading the pitch.” My undergraduate research revolved around high-school baseball athlete health and performance planning. In addition to my applied, on-field baseball research, I served as the captain of the 17U Team BC in 2015 and led the JPBL in batting average (.429) in 2014.
Director of Hockey and Soccer Analytics. Dilpreet supports applied performance insights across sports, helping teams turn data into clearer decisions, better development plans, and more consistent execution.
My name is Lucas Ribeiro, and I am completing my final year of my undergraduate degree in psychology at the University of British Columbia. I have spent the last year and a half working on a Representative Practice Assessment Tool for use in baseball that is designed to increase the efficiency of skill acquisition during high-intensity drills. As part of the project, I have worked extensively in data collection and analysis using both Rapsodo devices and Blast sensors. I have also assisted UBC's Varsity baseball team in tracking player statistics, creating custom profiles to track each player's metrics, and assisting in running player performance showcases.
CHED was built with students across development, design, and product execution.
